Vicks First Defence is designed as a nasal spray to better target what’s considered as the main sites of infection: the back of the nose and the top of the throat.
It’s a medical device intended to be used at the first symptoms of an emerging cold, or upon exposure to cold viruses, to reduce the ability of cold viruses to replicate in the nose.
Start to use within 36h of feeling sick with the first cold symptoms (e.g. a tickle at the back of the throat or sneezing), before the cold has fully developed. Use up to 4 times per day. Continue to use for 2 days after symptoms subside.

Apply 2-3 sprays per nostril immediately within the first 24-36 hours after feeling the 1st signs of a cold such as a tickle at the back of your throat, or sneezing. You can even start using it when feeling at risk of catching a cold. Use up to 4 times a day. Avoid inhaling deeply. For best results, continue to use for 2 days after symptoms
subside. Incline the nozzle outwards in the direction of your ear.
